SELAMAT sejahtera doktor,
Saya sudah dua tahun mendirikan rumah tangga dan awal Februari lalu isteri saya disahkan mengandung. Sejak kandungannya mulai membesar, saya mulai rasa takut untuk mengadakan hubungan seks kerana bimbang akan memberi kesan kepada kandungannya. Apatah lagi, kandungan ini cukup kami nanti-nantikan sejak mula berkahwin.
Soalan saya, apakah kami masih boleh bersetubuh pada peringkat kehamilan ini? Adakah kandungan isteri saya akan tercedera akibat persetubuhan ini sekali gus memberi kesan sampingan kepada bayi dalam kandungan?

Secara umumnya tidak ada masalah untuk saudara melakukan hubungan seks dengan isteri ketika beliau mengandung. Malah hubungan seks ketika mengandung mempunyai kesan berlainan daripada biasa. Ini kerana ketika mengandung, vagina mempunyai lebih lubrikasi dan cairan. Disebabkan lebih banyak pengaliran darah ke bahagian pelvis dan vagina, orgasm yang dialami isteri saudara akan menjadi lebih hebat.
Bagaimanapun, akan timbul kebimbangan mengenai hubungan seks ketika mengandung yang dikatakan membahayakan kandungan. Perubahan hormon dalam badan isteri anda akan membawa kepada perasaan loya dan letih. Ini mungkin menyebabkan beliau tidak ada keinginan melakukan hubungan seks.
Bagi lelaki pula, ramai menganggap keadaan tubuh wanita semasa mengandung lebih menarik dan mengghairahkan.
Apa yang penting, saudara perlu berkomunikasi dengan isteri dan berbincang dengannya. Jika beliau tidak begitu selesa, banyak lagi cara lain yang boleh dilakukan untuk mencapai kepuasan seksual.
Ini termasuk sentuhan fizikal, urutan, cumbuan, pelukan, ciuman dan mutual masturbation. Paling penting, keputusan perlu dibuat bersama dan dipersetujui kedua-dua pihak.
Jika hubungan fizikal tidak menjadi masalah bagi pasangan anda, saudara perlu mengubah posisi hubungan seks terutama sekali apabila abdomen isteri saudara menjadi semakin besar. Antara posisi yang boleh saudara praktikkan termasuklah posisi wanita di atas (woman on top), kedua-dua berada dalam keadaan mengiring dengan lelaki di belakang wanita di mana zakar dimasukkan ke dalam vagina dari belakang dan kedudukan wanita seperti sedang merangkak.
Pun begitu, ada beberapa kemungkinan di mana hubungan seks boleh membahayakan kandungan iaitu:
* Isteri pernah mengalami keguguran atau pernah bersalin tidak cukup bulan.
* Isteri mengalami masalah placenta previa (keadaan di mana placenta menutup bukaan rahim).
* Isteri mengalami pendarahan.
* Saudara atau pasangan mengidap penyakit hubungan kelamin.
Sebagai kesimpulan, hubungan seks semasa mengandung tidak membahayakan malah boleh menjadi lebih menyeronokkan. Namun jika saudara tidak pasti, saya nasihatkan anda dan isteri berbincang dengan pakar sakit puan sebelum melakukan hubungan seks. Ini penting supaya tidak berlaku kemudaratan kepada kandungan.
